we're not starting any big projects soon, but we're still gonna have mini-projects.
i'm gonna start working on Super Mushroom 2, and i'll need the following.

Here is some code I made for a enemy that fades away when a bullet comes near it, but comes back when otherwise.

Code:

//place in step event

//avoid bullets
image_alpha = 0+(distance_to_object(BULLET OBJECT NAME HERE)/100)

//follow player if close by
if distance_to_object(SUPERMUSHROOM OBJECT NAME HERE) < 200
move_towards_point(SUPERMUSHROOM OBJECT NAME HERE.x,self.y,3)
else
move_towards_point(self.x,self.y,0)

//if player collides with it
if (SUPERMUSHROOM OBJECT NAME HERE.x == self.x and SUPERMUSHROOM OBJECT NAME HERE.y == self.y)
{
//insert Supermushroom's hurt stuff here and subtract Supermushroom's health here.
}

Now all it needs is a sprite. But in order for the code to work, you must click "center" in the origin spot of the sprite edior window. This will help the collision checking.
